An Overview

Here's a one page glance of how the project has gone since inception:

1

11/03: The frames are cut out, set up on a strongback, and measured carefully (not quite carefully enough, as it turns out) for proper height and spacing

2

11/03: The keel plank and stem are mounted

3

11/03: While waiting for the planking to arrive, I build the centerboard (lead weighting is shown)

4

12/03:Still waiting for the planking to arrive... so I build the skeg

  5

12/03:The planking arrives... many evenings are spent gluing and stapling strips.

6

1/04:Fixing the first significant mistake... some lumpiness in the hull near the bow. This won't be the LAST mistake, either!

  7

2/04: Fiberglassing the hull

8

2/04: The skeg is attached

  9

2/04: The hull is faired and primed

10

3/04: The hull is finally turned over, and placed on a homebrew cradle with casters

  11

3/04: The internal gunwales are attached, and the interior is fiberglassed

12

4/04: The centerboard case is built and installed into the hull

  13

11/04: The removable cockpit floor is constructed

 14

12/04: The deckbeams are fitted

   15

12/04: The tiller is laminated (taking a break from the deckbeam fitting process)

 16

2/05: The cockpit carlins are installed

   17

10/05: Fixing another mistake: the floor is leveled

18
